Health & Safety Policy Statement

The Directors of Vipond Fire Protection Ltd are committed to the promotion of the highest standards of Health and Safety in the workplace and accept that this is the common objective of members of staff throughout the organisation.

It is therefore company policy to take all measures that are reasonably practicable to protect employees, visitors, sub-contractors or any other persons who may be affected by the company’s undertaking, from foreseeable risk of injury or ill-health which could result from work activity.

In fulfilling this responsibility all levels of management are committed to:

  1. The provision of a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, ensuring all statutory obligations are met.

  2. The provision of suitable information, instruction and training to enable all employees to perform their duties safely and effectively.

  3. The provision of safe systems of work and all the safety equipment and devices which may be required by employees during the course of their work.

  4. Maintaining all work equipment in safe working order and ensuring that systems and procedures and operated effectively.

  5. Reviewing current legislation and examining changes in legislation which may impact on the company policy.

Company employees are also committed to the promotion of the same high standards of Health and Safety and in order to meet their
responsibilities must:
  1. Work in such a way as to protect themselves, and anyone else who may be effected by their work, from risk of injury or ill-health.
  2. Co-operate fully with any reasonable request made by the employers so that the employers may fulfil their statutory obligation.
  3. Adhere to all working procedures and correctly use all equipment and devices provided for their safety.
  4. Report all risk of injury and ill health which they may encounter in the workplace and which they cannot immediately eliminate or control.
  5. Report all accidents and near misses and co-operate in any resulting investigation which will recommend action to prevent a recurrence.

It is accepted that in order to make this policy effective employeesat all levels must consult and communicate regularly on Health and Safety issues, setting targets and objectives and ensuring Health and Safety in the workplace remains a top priority.

Implementation of the policy will be led by top level management who will undertake to review the policy regularly and incorporate any changes in legislation, working practices, plant or equipment which may have a bearing on the policy.
